Vintage 1886 JNM Solid Sterling Silver Double Sovereign Coin Case Holder 38g. A stunning solid silver fob chain double sovereign holder fully hallmarked JNM (makers mark) young Queen Victoria head hallmark, Lion passant, Birmingham date letter'm' for 1886. The case is in good condition though it is missing its button so has to be opened with a small flat bladed instrument, the case has some small dents and tarnishing in places, the spring loaded mechanism works fine, the lid clicks shut but there is a slight gap between sides when closed.
It is beautifully engraved with initials that look like'PE. It measures approx 5.3cm high excluding the bale (7.1cm including bale) by 1.6cm thick by 3.1cm wide and weighs approx 38 grammes. Please view photos carefully as they form part of the description.
