Description: - A Victorian sterling silver-gilt cream jug. The cream jug is of oval form, with engraved foliate decoration, beaded scroll handle and borders, sitting on a raised oval foot. The jug is hallmarked with the makers mark of Stephen Smith, London, and the date letter'B' for 1877. Period: - Late 19th century. Engraving: - Engraved with initials to the cartouche.
The initials are possibly C, A, & T (in no particular order). Measurement: - 14.8cm (height) x 12.2cm (width) x 5.9cm (depth). Weight: - 173.1 grams. Condition: - The cream jug is in good condition.Light surface scratches, and marks commensurate with age. There are no splits, damage, or repairs. Slight rubbing to the gilt wash.
