A large Victorian sterling silver back and front locket containing contains one removable photo frame with glass and one without. Back and front' refers to the construction of the locket which is made with sterling silver on the back and front and silver plated metal edges and hinge, the silver plating on the edges has worn off.

In good condition and snaps shut firmly. The locket acid tests as sterling silver back and front. 3.8 cms, excluding the loop and bail by 3.1 cms (1 1/2 inches x 1 1/4 inches). The locket is on a new 51 cms (20 inches) long solid sterling silver belcher chain.
