Antique Webster Silver Company Sterling Silver Chatelaine Pencil Holder Case. This wonderful little antique chatelaine pencil holder was made by Webster Silver Company of Attleboro Massachusetts, founded 1869. It is made of sterling silver in a gorgeous repousse floral and scroll design that stands out beautifully against its oxidized background. There is even a small area in the center on either side available for a monogram.
One of the floral sides is marked with the Webster hallmark of a W with an Arrow through it and STERLING. And the top has a jump ring for use with a chatelaine chain.
A flat pencil that is marked GERMANY A. Faber and is supported by a sterling collar, slips neatly into the case. The piece assembled measures 3/8 wide by 3-1/4 in length and is in excellent condition with no bends, dents or repairs. Comes with a long black grosgrain ribbon ready to wear. This is a beautiful piece for the discerning collector.
