Antique Victorian Cut Glass & Sterling Silver Desk Inkwell/inkpot Gorham 1897

  

For sale is an antique cut glass and sterling desk inkwell made by Gorham in 1897. This was the same year that Gorham introduced Strasbourg and this inkwell has the same Strasbourg scroll work. The base is marked sterling and has the lion, anchor, Gorham logo, and trident for 1897.

The top which has a small dent is also marked sterling but I believe it is not the original top. The base and glass is in excellent to perfect condition. The base with top measures 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 3 1/2 high and weighs almost 3 pounds.
