Antique Victorian Bohemian Sterling Silver & Garnet Fly Insect Pendant Necklace. This beautifully hand-fabricated fly brooch is set with shimmering deep burgundy red rose-cut garnets and an oval shaped domed faceted garnet body. Backed by blackened silver and suspends on blackened silver chain. The backing and chain are later additions to this antique fly.
Chain stamped "925" for sterling silver. Few garnets have minor abrasions but won't be apparent when necklace is necklace is worn. Fly measure: 1 15/16" (50mm) at wing span, 1 3/16" (30mm) top to bottom. Necklace length: 15.75 (40cm). Necklace weight: 17.1 grams.
