Antique Victorian Renaissance Revival Victorian etui / knife, needle or scissors sheath case. Measurements: a tad under 6 1/2 inches long; weighs 27.2 grams. Triangular in shape, tapering towards the bottom.

An opening in the silver at the top in order to hang it from a hook or loop such as from a chatelaine. The entire top surface is luxuriously embellished in repousse decoration - scrolls and flowers and an exquisite figure of a woman like a masthead. A band around her forehead, a sumptuous necklace and top, her diaphenous garments revealing her body below. Exquisitely designed and executed in rich Renaissance Revival style. Marks: Unger Bros interlaced U & B as well as STERLING 925 FINE. Condition: good with minor wear commensurate with age.
