This is a superb antique purse. The closure stones are sapphires. It is sterling, I believe, and it has a mark (KS or K5) that I cannot determine what it stands for.
I believe the frame is low karat gold as it still looks goldish and has had too much wear not to rub off gold wash or even vermeil. The lining is a kind of gauzy fabric - in excellent shape.
