Antique Sterling Silver Victorian Locket Pendant - Emmanuel Levy - Birmingham, 1881. Measurements: 3.2cm x 1cm x 5.5cm. Beautiful antique sterling silver locket available. It is hallmarked on the back: "g anchor lion" and E. L indicating this was made in Birmingham by Emmanuel Levy in 1881.
It features a unique heron engraving, with the bird flying above a lake and reeds. This is surrounded by a lovely star border, with twenty present in total.
The anchor stamp is also present on the top hook. It can be opened via the indent at the side and remains fairly plain inside. It is in good overall condition for its age. The exterior is in very good, shiny condition with slight scratching/marks in places. The interior is in adequate condition with some scratches on the base and inside of the lid.It still opens and shuts well.
