Interestingly, it's stamped on the back "STERLING" and "935" but 925 is the standard for sterling so if it's 935, it's purer than sterling. It's not perfect as some of the stones have discolored a bit but it wasn't a deal-breaker for me and they still sparkle when they catch the light. You'll have to decide for yourself. The box is not included.Background: The stones are paste which is glass that has been cut and faceted to look like a real gemstone, in this case, diamonds. The stones are also backed with foil and set with a closed back which makes them even more dazzling. One thing that is important to note is that you do not want to get your foiled stones wet because moisture can damage the foil and cause discoloration. Measurements: 1 1/4 inches x 3/4 inch. Condition: Wear in keeping with age and use.
The stones are bright but do show some discoloration. When looking with magnification, one can see wear to the stones.The clasp and hinge are secure. Please use the photos as a guide as the condition of a piece is subjective and you may disagree with my opinion.
