Antique English Sterling Silver Teapot Martin Hall Co. A fine English Late Victorian/Early Edwardian period sterling silver teapot by Martin Hall Co. The teapot is hallmarked for 1904.
It has very elaborate repousse decoration, with florals, a figural bird finial and a mythological spout, with a'man of the north wind' face and a bird beak spout. There is an interior repair to the armorial. Someone had tried to obliterate it at one time and it has been restored. There are still a few scratches on the outside as can be seen in the pictures but the repair is done professionally and the teapot is fully serviceable.
8 1/2" high by 11 1/2" wide, handle to spout. The teapot weighs 36 ounces. A gorgeous, highly decorative teapot, and guaranteed to be as described. Listing and template services provided by inkFrog.
